North Texas will kick off the 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2, when it hosts Lamar at Apogee Stadium. The Mean Green’s first nationally-televised game will be the following week, Saturday, Sept. 9, when they travel to face Metroplex rival SMU at 6 p.m. on ESPN3. Other nationally-televised games include a Sept. 16 non-conference tilt at Iowa, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2, the C-USA opener against UAB from Apogee Stadium on beIN SPORTS at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, a road contest at Florida Atlantic on Oct. 21 on ESPN3, home dates with Old Dominion on Oct. 28 and UTEP on Nov. 11 on ESPN3, a non-conference game against 2016 Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl opponent Army on Nov. 18 in Denton on beIN SPORTS, and the regular season finale at Rice on Nov. 25 on ESPN3.

The 2017 C-USA championship game on Saturday, Dec. 2, is scheduled to air on ESPN or ESPN 2. It marks the 13th-straight year that the C-USA championship will air on the ESPN Networks, which will also carry all six bowl games in which C-USA has a guaranteed selection.
